On Friday, Aug. 21 at approximately 7:53 a.m., Lehi Police and Lehi Fire responded to an accident at 651 E. 1630 S in which a Honda minivan collided with another car, then crashed into a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints building. The van stopped when it crashed into a low brick half-wall on the building’s perimeter.
According to Jeanteil Livingston, Lehi City Communications Manager, “The driver of the minivan was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.” No critical injuries were reported.
“Preliminary information indicates that the driver may have experienced a medical emergency prior to the crash,” stated Livingston.
The accident remains under investigation and will be updated as more information becomes available.
