With the COVID-19 vaccine on the forefront of daily news, Utah County health officials have hundreds of available doses for residents over 70 and are urging seniors to claim them.
On Monday, the County reported having hundreds of unfilled appointment slots at its Spanish Fork vaccine center, urging those who qualify to schedule their appointment as soon as possible if they wish to receive the vaccine.
“Please check on loved ones and neighbors 70+ to see if they need assistance signing up for an appointment,” said Utah County Health Department spokeswoman Aislynn Toman-Hill.
Despite having many vaccine doses, the County Health Department said any unused doses would be offered to employees and volunteers until senior demand catches up to the current supply.
“We are committed to using all of our vaccine supply each week, in alignment with the Governor’s request,” said Tolman-Hill.
