1954-2019
Kip Lynell Beal (65) passed away
peacefully on May 2, 2019 after a long-term illness. He was born on February 5,
1954 to Lawrence Raynal Beal and Lillian Mathis Beal.
He graduated from Lehi High School.
Kip married Elywna Ault on May 27, 1978 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they
raised their three kids, Quaken, Brandi, and Dewlyn in Cedar Fort, Utah. He
loved his wife, kids and grandkids very much and there was never a dull moment!
Kip was an excavator in early
adulthood. He went on to work at Tooele Army Depot, then transferred to EG
& G. He spent over 30 years between the two jobs. In school and work, he
was known for his crazy sense of humor.
Kip loved softball and he played
for many years in a Men’s Fast Pitch League in Lehi. For many years he also
coached the local boys’ baseball team in Cedar Fort where he lived. He loved to
be with his brothers and sons, hunting, fishing, camping, and riding
motorcycles. He especially enjoyed seeing just how bad he could scare anybody
that would ride with him in the dune buggy.
Kip was a story teller! He had a
special bond with his mom and while she was alive, one of his favorite times
was to visit on Saturday mornings to tell stories and make her laugh. And if
you were sitting around a campfire with Kip, you were laughing!
He is preceded in death by his
parents, Lawrence and Lillian Beal, parents-in-law Duke and Hazel Ault, his
niece Terris Jean Kirkham, nephew Dace David Beal and several aunts and uncles.
Kip is survived by his wife Elwyna, Cedar Fort; his children, Quaken Jess Beal
(Christy Nielson), Brandi May Beal Hunt (Ryan) and Dewlyn Kip Beal; three
grandchildren; his brothers, Thad (Linda) Beal, Dave (Larena) Beal, Scott
(Jimmy) Beal, Rick (Shannon) Beal and sister Karen (Wally Lewis) Beal; and many
nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
At Kip’s request there will be no
formal services. The family would like to thank friends and family for their
love and support.
