Donna Mary Hadfield Mitchell was born to William Hadfield and Charlotte Gough Hadfield on May 21, 1923. She passed away January 24, 2018. Donna married John Wilson Mitchell in the Salt Lake Temple on April 17, 1946. They had five children, Mark (Janet), Jean, William (Lorraine), Robert (Joanne), and Eric Mitchell. Donna has sixteen grandchildren and forty-three great grandchildren. Her husband John and her two children, Jean and William, preceded her in passing.
She graduated from Lehi High School, attended BYU, trained in Seattle to be a Naval Nurse (WWII) and graduated from LDS hospital in 1946 as a nurse. She loved her family, the gospel of Jesus Christ and served tirelessly in LDS temples and in performing family history work until her final days.
The arts, especially music, gave her joy as she had a beautiful voice. She played piano and trombone and was an accompanist in church from age 13-90. She loved the outdoors, horses, mountains, and streams. She is the seventh of eight children, and is survived by her sister, Willa Wing.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the Wing Mortuary Chapel, 118 East Main, Lehi, Utah. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment, Lehi City Cemetery. Online guestbook at wingmortuary.com
