1931 –2018
Vern Audrian Gray was both on October 18, 1931. He snuck out of camp early Friday morning, March 23, 2018. He left with saddle bags full of eighty-six years of loving memories of his sweetheart and family. He was the ninth child of the William and Ethel (Roberts) Gray. He married his high-school sweetheart Jeanine Hutchings in 1950 in New York. They returned to American Fork, Utah four years later to raise their family of seven children; Esther, Marty, Bill, Karen, Rosemary, Mathew, and Bobby.
Vern and Jeanine worked hard over 68 years to raise and support their family of seven children, twenty grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren, so far. Vern is survived by his sweetheart Jeanine, his adoring sister Bareen Storrs and his family. His daughters Esther and Rosemary are with him now.
Vern was a lumberjack, boiler baker, American Welding Society QC1 Welding Inspector and cowboy for life. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday March 28, 2018 at 11 a.m. at American Fork 38th Ward 239 E. 1100 S., American Fork. Utah. Viewing prior to the services, from 9-10:30 a.m. at the same location. Interment, Lehi City Cemetery.
