Alex Shootman, CEO at Workfront, located in
Lehi, was recently ranked second place in the nation for the “Best CEOs for
Women 2019,” according to Comparably, a career monitoring website, in their
annual ranking. Comparably compiled data from female staffers among a pool of
more than 50,000 U.S. companies and found Shootman ranked one of the highest
for companies with 500 or more employees. T-Mobile’s CEO, John Legere received
the first-place ranking.
Shootman’s score was 94 out of 100. As
president and CEO of Workfront, he drives the overall strategy, vision, and
execution of the tech company, according to Comparably. Workfront is also ranked
in the top five percent in similarly sized companies in the categories of
gender and diversity. In 2019, the company received a total of seven Comparably
Awards and has been recognized for their culture, professional development,
engineering, product, product team, and leadership.
