Nothing quite matches the colorful spectacle of watching hundreds of elite cyclists begin a race. Mark your calendars for the morning of Thursday, August 4 and head up to the campus of IM Flash Technologies for a morning of festivities. The Lehi-based company is hosting the beginning of stage four in this year’s Tour of Utah. It’s the only location in Utah County to host the beginning of one of the stages in this global cycling event.
For the second time in three years, Stage four of the Tour of Utah will take off from the IM Flash campus at 4000 N. Flash Drive in Lehi. The Tour of Utah is one of the state’s premier sporting events. It will be broadcast internationally in over 128 countries. Global cycling fans follow this exciting race through Utah’s scenic landscapes.
The fun for all ages begins at 10am. Spectators will be treated to refreshments, food trucks, a BMX bicycle exhibition, carnival games and more. Vocalist and entertainer Alex Boye will perform. Sky divers will arrive at 11:50am and the official start of the race will occur at 12:10pm. This year Tour of Utah cyclists will take off from the flagpole area at the central campus headquarters, then take two loops around the entire campus allowing locals to watch and cheer for the riders during intense competition.
