Obituaries: Edward (Ted) Southwick

american-flag2Edward (Ted) LaMar Southwick, 81, passed away peacefully September 17, 2016 in American Fork, Utah. He was born on July 4, 1935 in Lehi, Utah to Charles and Ruby Carlson Southwick. Ted grew up in Lehi and attended Lehi schools. He married Beverly Reed on June 1, 1957 in Elko, Nevada.

Ted served honorably in the United States Air Force. He was employed by Rubber Engineering and also worked for Fowler Pump. He enjoyed gardening, bowling, golf and being with his family.

He is survived by his wife and children; Ronda (Jerry) Varney, Vicky Mecham (Randy Iler) and Reed (Gayleen) Southwick; 6 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; one brother Carlson Southwick, of Alpine, Utah and Carolee Vavrak of Demming, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Ila, and brother Richard (Dick).

A viewing will be held Friday morning, September 23, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Wing Mortuary, 118 East Main, Lehi, Utah. Graveside services will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the Lehi City Cemetery, 1100 North 400 East. Online guest book at http://www.wingmortuary.com.
