Monday, July 25th hundreds of supporters of Miss Rodeo Utah, Cassidy Black, and the contestants for this year’s crown showed up to cheer at the annual Miss Rodeo Utah Fashion Show and Silent Auction. The winner of this year’s pageant was Lehi’s very own Miss Rodeo Lehi, McKenna Hales. Hales was crowned Miss Rodeo Utah as part of Ogden’s Pioneer Days Rodeo.
Hales is 19 years old and a graduate of Morgan High School. She is currently attending Brigham Young University.
The Miss Rodeo Utah foundation says “Miss Rodeo Utah symbolizes the young women of Utah who want to promote the sport of rodeo that stands for family, hard work, values, and commitment. She represents Utah at the Miss Rodeo America Pageant. She also travels throughout Utah appearing at rodeos and western-oriented events.”
McKenna says “Miss Rodeo Utah is a woman who embraces her western heritage, is a teacher and role model for future generations, lives by her values and understands the importance of faith, family, and friends. Serving as Miss Rodeo Utah will allow me the opportunity to continue to stretch and develop myself personally, providing growth experiences and lasting relationships that will benefit me for a lifetime.”
