Volunteers Train for Cub Scout Day Camp

Published

on

Over 100 adults and youth from Lehi and American Fork attended training sessions to prepare for this year’s Iron Horse District Cub Scout Day Camp. The theme for this year’s camp is “The Wild, Wild West” and will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday of each week in June at the American Fork Amphitheater. More than 1000 boys participate in one of the four sessions to learn new skills, earn awards, and have fun. For many this is the highlight of their summer.

There are 14 stations with activities such as compass use, gold panning, BB gun shooting, and archery. The boys are organized into groups of about 20 to rotate through the stations where they pass off skills and have their activity passports stamped by volunteer leaders. There are still available spaces for Session 4. For more information, check out http://www.utahscouts.org/1188.
